HEMEL SKI RACE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 – 9th September The Hemel Champs take place on Saturday 9 September 2017, Entries are now open, Click HERE for entry.
The Race Club Championships are open to all current Hemel Club Members, Junior Development Group Members, Hemel Academy members, The Snow Centre Instructors and invited racers. The competition consists of 2 timed runs through a slalom course and 2 timed runs through a Super GS course aggregate of best run from slalom plus best run SGS to count to determine Hemels male and female Champion Skiers 2017 in all age groups and Champion Instructor. Associate members are invited to join in the competition, however Hemels perpetual trophies are not available to associate members but medals will be awarded if placed. All racers MUST wear a ski race helmet during racing and open practice, please enter online, available in August. Race entries closes on Monday 4th September 2017 or if full before. It is very unlikely late entries will be accepted
Race Entry Fee: £15. 00 per racer to include supper, please indicate choice of food on the online entry.
Awards: Medals and Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed racers in all age groups; females separate from the males. Instructors Brian Parrington Trophy. Friends/ex members, invited guests surprise. Only current HSRC members can win the perpetual trophies.
Party/Supper: Supper will be provided by HSC for all entrants on production of food ticket, extra tickets available until 4th September. Please indicate choice online.
Closing date 4th September 2017 or when full. Race entry per club member will be £15.00, once accepted after 4th September no refund will be given in the event of withdrawal.
Time table: (subject to change re conditions and timings)
1.30 p.m. Arrive at HSC (Slope will be open to other users.)
1.30 p.m. Race office opens registration.
2.30 p.m. Open practice. (Slope closed to the public, Bibs MUST be worn so number is visible)
3.00 p.m. Course Setting. All racers will compete on the same course for both runs, U12/10/8 will race a “stubby” course.
3.15 p.m. Course inspection. ALL 3.35p.m. Course inspection ends. Open Practice Ends
3.50 p.m. Slalom competition 1st and 2nd run.
5.15p.m. Course Setting Extended Slalom.
5.30 p.m. Extended Slalom competition 1st and 2nd run. Start order will be for both runs as 1st run of the slalom.
7.30 p.m. Award ceremony in bar area..
